  1. A1: Of the seven color concepts the most visually striking for me would be the 12 PM picture with color discord. It captures the relatively bright light of noon quite well and the space you left above the dragon though empty provides a decent result.

A2: Of your seven concepts the 3:00 pm concept is the least visually striking all things considered. The concept reads as though the sun has already set and it appears darker than your later concepts.

A3: Over all the continuity is spot on with the paper airplane introduced at the beginning undergoing a journey throughout the book, it reads very well.

  2. A1: The most visually striking piece to me would have to be the active colors piece. It's really vibrant and just jumps off the page to grab your attention.
A2: I think the least visually striking piece is the first one. While the colors are bright and vibrant, the actual picture itself is too simple in design to really catch my attention.
A3: The piece as a whole works well as the tops of the buildings and windows guide your eye from left to right throughout it to give it that flow. The colors also work well with the flow as it goes from saturated, to desaturated, and back to saturated again.

  3. Q1: the 3rd composition is the strongest, with its use of color discord. Having the two spots of yellow does a good job of highlighting and pulling focus. However, there isn't that much discord between the yellow- green and the blue-green. Perhaps, if the background blue-green were more saturated, it would be more intense in the discord.
Q2: The least visually interesting composition is the first one which employs the use of contrast. While there is, indeed, contrast, the lack of detail in the image- especially in comparison to the rest of the book- makes it less interesting than it could be.
Q3: I love the concept of the paper airplane as it travels throughout the day. It really works. The way you angle the paper airplane allows the viewer to have the illusion that it has just flown out of the one image and into the next. The book flows very well, and uses a good variation of color.
